A Points System-For Indian Status? In Canada?

In the first of its kind in Canada-the federal government developed a silly points system to assess whether white Newfoundlanders should be able to race shift to Mi'kmaq.  This has never been done in Canadian history.  It is amazing to me (and other real Indigenous people) that there are people from our own Nations who cannot get enrolled- yet these white Newfoundlanders with (a possible) Native ancestor in 1575-no (one actually checked that that ancestor existed)- even still-that does not make a white Newfoundlander Indigenous at all.

White Newfoundlanders under this points system is encouraged to "dress up like a Native"- ie. go to a pow wow or an Indigenous celebration or gathering.  This is why there is a proliferation of white Newfies holding pow wows-'cause it helps them get their Indian Status and race shift to Mi'kmaq so they can
take jobs from Natives and other opportunities.

Does this outrage you? Talk to your MP, your chief, the prime minister. We all need to speak against this race shifting that is being led by the white federal government. White Canadians race shifting is an ugly
attempt at genocide AGAIN!

White Newfoundlanders decimated the Beothuks. Now they erase real Indigenous people in 2023 by race shifting to Mi'kmaq. 

When you meet a Qalipu-ask them: prove to me you are Indigenous & demand they explain their Indigenous experience.

This system was to remedy the Stephen Harper system of self-identification where applicants merely had to submit a family tree and an application and demonstrate they self identified as Indigenous.
