Qalipu Pretendian Nation

 While growing up in Newfoundland, I never heard about any Mi'kmaq people from the west coast of Newfoundland. Then one day, all of a sudden a bunch of white Newfoundlanders started claiming to be Mi'kmaq.  This newspaper clipping confirms for me that point.  This article was sent to me by a friend.  Note the quote:  "there are about 100 Mi'kmaqs in Conne River Newfoundland."  So now in 2023 we have over 100,000 white Newfoundlanders claiming to be Mi'kmaq.  Also, I worked at the St. John's Native Friendship Centre as well, in those days we had less than 1,000 members.  (if my memory serves me correctly, I think there were less than 500 members). Where were all these white Newfoundlanders who now claim to be Indigenous?  Justin Trudeau apologized to Inuit and Innu of Labrador, who were both placed in residential schools against their will.  Qalipu fake Mi'kmaqs in Newfoundland were not Indigenous people during these days. They were able to HIDE from any genocidal Indigenous policies enacted by the white colonizers. Qalipus will argue that they just hid very well.  Real Natives in Canada could not hide. My mother could not hide. I could not hide. My mother survived residential school. I survived the 60s Scoop. No Qalipus suffered any of those things.  No apology for Qalipu residential schools. Cause they were white people in those days and escaped them. Just as other whites in Canada.

See the difference between the stories of Indigenous people in Labrador who clearly experience all the colonial violence other Indigenous people do across Canada. Qalipus do not share these experiences at all.  In fact, ask a Qalipu what they think of the real Natives of Labrador.  

 

 

 

  More white Newfoundlanders are waking up to the lies that are the Qalipu pretendians around them. It is good to see truth being exposed, against all the odds. 

In the first of its kind in Canada-the federal government developed a silly points system to assess whether white Newfoundlanders should be able to race shift to Mi'kmaq.  This has never been done in Canadian history.  It is amazing to me (and other real Indigenous people) that there are people from our own Nations who cannot get enrolled- yet these white Newfoundlanders with (a possible) Native ancestor in 1575-no (one actually checked that that ancestor existed)- even still-that does not make a white Newfoundlander Indigenous at all. White Newfoundlanders under this points system is encouraged to "dress up like a Native"- ie. go to a pow wow or an Indigenous celebration or gathering.  This is why there is a proliferation of white Newfies holding pow wows-'cause it helps them get their Indian Status and race shift to Mi'kmaq so they can take jobs from Natives and other opportunities.   What I have to say to all Qalipus is this: show me evidence that you are at least 1/8th Mi'kmaq. That is a DNA test or via family genealogy.  None of you can do that.  I know.

 

  This is a real take on white Newfie culture. I talk about how white Newfies have had a longstanding grievance about joining Canada, and therefore, I reason that that's why they race shift by such huge numbers to Mi'kmaq to rob Indigenous people and they believe, the feds.  But they harm the Indigenous community, not the feds. White Newfies, stop your grift! There is no way over 100,000 of you even have 5 percent Mi'kmaq blood. Even if you did, that does not make you Mi'kmaq.

 

  There are zero Qalipu Pretendian Mikmaqs who attended Indian Day Schools and Residential Schools. They also did not experience the 60s Scoop nor Millenium Scoop.  If any inform you that they or their family members did, demand proof.  They cannot show you proof.  Cause they were white in the days gone by when real Natives of Labrador were being rounded up for residential schools and 60s Scoop. Below, a woman named Judith Doucette who claims to be Mikmaq Qalipu has written and published a children's book based on the lie that her people suffered Indian Day Schools.  What a horrible fraud to commit.  This has to be one of the worst actions a Qalipu pretendian has committed.  NEVER ever buy this book or any book by a Qalipu.

She is gaining much media attention from white mainstream media as a victim for losing her Qalipu Mi'kmaq Indian status under the points system where she had to dress up like a Native.  (Most Newfies who lost their Indian Status under the points system was due to residency).    Who is PLEX aka Doug Bedard, Ojibway singer/ hip hop Artist Referring to in the Song "Red Flags?"  Dave Strickland, the famed music producer is a Qalipu Pretendian Mi'kmaq.    In a Windspeaker interview, Strickland declared, " …we are all chiefs, whether you’re male or female, two spirted, we are all kings and queens and we deserve to be respected…” (that's pretendian nonsense).   The quote above by Strickland highlights one of the many problems with pretendians, because many are white settlers, they see the world via those glasses.  They see the world through a lens of whiteness.  It is clear many know very little about Indigenous cultures.  For example:  they will blend different Indigenous cultures together in some pan-Indigenous stew.  This is very dangerous to actual Indigenous communities.  These misrepresentations get picked up and reproduced again and again.  But we have to speak against such behaviours....
